From the first note, Ajeet Kaur’s voice feels like the warmth of the earth rising through your body, creating a sense of inexplicable peace that helps you suddenly relax in a knowing that you are connected to every living being through this sacred sound.
At 23, Ajeet Kaur’s ability to create calm in a chaotic world with the sound of her dewy voice is uncanny. There is a fierce strength hidden behind her angelic blue eyes that also lives like a subtle bass note beneath the otherworldly sounds of her voice. Ajeet Kaur sings for peace and change from an inner drive that started long before she recorded her first album.
Ajeet is an activist in the most authentic sense. As a teenager, she counseled incarcerated youth as a peer, hoping to delve into the heart of what would transform the lives of the teens she worked with. With the proceeds of her first album, At the Temple Door, she helped build housing for orphans from the ‘untouchable’ caste in India, traveling herself to help build the foundation and work with the children whose lives inspire her to continue her journey and her music.
Daughter of best-selling spiritual author Thomas Moore, Ajeet Kaur learned first hand the power of words to inspire millions. Her music is built on the power of sacred mantra, the ultimate healing words of her spiritual path. Darshan was recorded in Bali, a country whose spiritual essence fills every note of this album.
Ajeet Kaur’s newest release Darshan invites you to celebrate the essence of life. Ajeet’s fans have come to love the sweet and innocent power of her voice, but here you will sense a new depth and honesty. Darshan is a glimpse of the divine through an image, a sound, or even a fleeting experience. The music itself becomes an experience of Darshan, leading you to the edge of the Infinite.
