These cards are printed with the image in colour on one side and in black & white on the other, for two different ways of reading them. Dusky, golden tones dominate the subdued hues of the colored side of this unusual deck. On the backs of the cards, instead of a standardized design or pattern, the same images are presented in black-and-white. Having the images on both sides of the cards may limit the deck's usage in readings for some folks, but could suggest expanded possibilities for others. Also, for a fantasy deck dominated by fairies and cute forest denizens, the darker color scheme may seem a bit paradoxical.
